The same characters of the first Iron Man movie are joined by Nick Fury, played by Samuel L. Jackson, Ivan Vanko/Whiplash played by Mickey Rourke, Justin Hammer played by Sam Rockwell, and Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow played by Scarlett Johansson.
Terrence Howard will be replaced by Don Cheadle in the role of Jim Rhodes, best friend of Tony Stark(Iron Man). Jim Rhodes will later in the movie become the armor-wearing hero War Machine, just like in the Iron Man comic books.
